I work on thresholds: the point where painting ends and space begins. I spatialize painting to turn it into a theatrical experience where art and life collide. My work transforms architectural volumes into habitable bodies, making the space between interior and exterior disappear.

I was born in Ancona in 1992 and I live and work in Turin. My work has been shown at institutions including Art Basel Hong Kong and Triennale Milano.
I collaborated with Fendi on the collection presented at the 2025 Fashion Week, and with CC-Tapis on the project presented during the 60th edition of Salone del Mobile.

Beyond the wall

Intervening in space

I draw on the contemporary tradition of art conceived for a specific place. A tradition that freed itself from the object in order to escape the boundaries of representation. And when the object is no longer there, space is all that remains. In my on siteworks, I do not represent space; I construct it.

I like to think that the entire history of painting on canvas and panel is a history of design. That every representation of space is, in fact, an unrealized architectural project, a missing architecture. My portable works are models of architectures, models of spaces, not always missing ones.

Material

I move between the industrial weight of concrete to the organic fragility of wax, and paper. Materials that become the language of pictorial research capable of transforming space.

References

From the gaps in medieval frescoes to baroque sugar sculpture devoured by the audience, my practice functions as a journey that transforms symbols of power into something, desacralized, ephemeral and shared.

I create portable architectures and on site interventions that act as a skeleton for the space.

My supports allow painting to detach from the wall and become a three-dimensional, monumental force. Each piece is designed to redefine the volume it inhabits, making the structure itself part of the narrative.

With the cakes, my interest in the relationship between pastry-making and power takes on a performative dimension.

Cremisaria

As it probably happened to some of the first and most distracted Venetian merchants, one might think of red berries. It is cochineals instead. Precious insects, arranged in clusters, from which the red crimson, namely the colour of the Venetian banner, is extracted.

Fendi

For nine months, I worked on a site-specific project for the Fendi store on Via Montenapoleone in Milan, inside the building designed by Emilio Lancia, for which I designed the four foyer ceilings.

Fendi bags

When Fendi asked me to think about an edition of the Artists Peekaboo, their iconic bag, I couldn’t stop thinking about the childhood game of hiding behind your own hands and then reappearing, about making yourself a hiding place, seeking protection in the dark and withdrawing into invisibility.

Italian Villages project

There is nearly nothing nearby Sambuca di Sicilia. Located 89 km from Agrigento and 78 km south from Palermo, it barely counts 6000 people. It is considered one of the most beautiful small villages of Italy and now there is a reason more to go there.

Patroni

“Patrono” derives from pater: in ancient Rome, it referred to an authoritative and protective figure − a legislator, an advocate.

Porziuncola

Though appreciating the habit of domesticating art to the point of being able to bear it in our hands before hanging it on our homes, the true nature of art invades and pervades the walls, from the ceiling to the floor.

Spelonca

This space was once a night club and later a lefebvrian church, two worlds that I merged to create my studio and project space in Turin. I chose to restore its original name, the one it held until 1978 in lungo dora napoli 6, as a way to reconnect with its urban history.
